Sept 23 2008 #6 to Branson MO

The pictures above capture the transition from high in the mountains to driving right through them. Maybe Amanda can give us some history on the road side cliffs we drove through!
Such a pretty drive!
We called ahead for a hotel in Branson. The beautiful detour had added almost an hour to our trip on a day when time was already tight.
Later we found out on the internet that the road was indeed washed out on route 7 where it was closed and will remain closed indefinately.
Above is a very large "Titanic Ship" "Welcome to Branson" It is actually a museum.
We found our hotel....... checked in....... moved all gear from the bike safely into the hotel..... changed..... grabbed some quick snacks for nourishment.... picked up our tickets for the show and made it there with 15 minutes to spare.
We enjoyed the show, the interaction with the audience and music were enjoyed. It was funny... everything was very rushed getting into the theatre. It was a bit loud for both of us, nothing that cupping your ears a bit for some songs couldn't fix. This is when we noticed that we seemed to be the only ones having issues with the loudness.
A quick scan of the audience and we realized we were by far a least 20 years younger than the rest of the audience. That could explain the loudness issue not bothing others.
At intermission other patrons were very nice to us and eager to share their travel stories and which shows we should see. At breakfast the next morning we shared a table with two ladies on a tour. H. Inn Express had the best free breakfast yet. The tour was seeing, I think it was five shows in just two days.

Which one of the Branson hotels did you stay at? I'm trying to get a few good recommendations.
