As we left MO the landscape quickly turned to farmland heading into the "bread basket" as it has referred to.
We have seen many crosses along the roadsides thru the years. This one was so large, I can't even convey it. I don't know the story behind it but it gave you the chills!
Along with the beautiful sunset came much cooler temps. We tried not to drive in the late evenings.
You missed so much of the ever changing scenery and it defeated the purpose of driving across the country to see the country, not just reach a destination. We are so enjoying our trip!
