Sept 25 2008 heading home

I think this is the moment it struck us that our adventure was soon to be at it's end. We spoke to Amanda and Kris and the forecast showed nothing but two days full of rain. An extra ten hours of riding the goldwing in the rain for a half day of visiting didn't seem worth the risk on their part or ours. Kris had his high school reunion on the weekend so our visit would have been short.

We decided that maybe a fall foilage visit would be better if it could fit in at a later date.

Let's restate our thoughts...... our adventure was soon to be at it's end.

Our first adventure was soon to be at it's end, but it is only the beginning of many more to be experienced!

We decided to spend some time visiting places in our home state.

Along with the thoughts of our trip closing up was the cold weather was setting in for the evening, the early evening.

We stopped at the rest stop to change gear, something we were fortunate not to have to do much on this trip. Warmer gloves, chaps, inside liner for our amor jackets and a chest/chin warmer for me. Norm had the windshield for his chin and his beard too! We took a picture of the bike in Ohio.... it was feeling a bit neglected and so far had been very good to us!

We were trying to take a picture of us in Ohio and a gentleman came over and offered to take one of the two of us. The second one is the one he took. We talked for a bit and then were on our way to Columbus.
