9/24/08 Today would have been my Dad's Birthday! Miss him so very much....
On the way to Indiana we stopped at St. Louis MO. The city was hit very hard with a lot of rain the last couple of weeks. We knew parts of the city had been shut down but did not give it much thought beyond that. It had been many days prior. As we were nearing St. Louis the local news came on the radio. It said they had just opened the riverfront that morning and clean up was still underway.
The first picture is the city of St Louis from thre freeway as we arrived. The second picture heading down a slope has the Mighty Mississipi River right in front of us.
The third picture is from the roadway. There is another cement platform just below the road up to the River.
